The goal was to create a cervical spine strap that is functional, lightweight, strong, and can work cohesively with other EMS equipment and across all agencies. The 2 inch buckle features a patented web tensioning bar that improves the release angle. The curved design is meant to contour naturally to the human body. It will hold strong in all weather conditions and can withstand up to 400 pounds of tension. The webbing is washable, lightweight, and designed to resist absorption. CliffTech is the brainchild of Cliff Young. Cliff has been a paramedic for 15 years serving in Los Angeles,Fresno and Santa Clara Counties. He currently works as the Clinical Education Coordinator for American Medical Response in Santa Clara County.
